Once again, this is something from music. I think music is a really good way to get an idea through, but anyway...
this is the title of a song by the churchills. As i was listening, i was thinking to myself, "this is so true, it happens to me all the time." I hate the fact that this line is true, because when you try as hard as you possibly can, and you still dont suceed in it, then it make you feel like a failure. thats what i think anyway. A huge part of my life that i am reffering to for this line has to do with school and tests. Sometimes when I have tests, i study day and night every break that i have, i do as much as i can, but i still end up doing not so well. It brings me down because it makes me feel like i cant accomplish things when i want. this feeling makes me really annoyed, but i cant really do anything. "Sometimes my best just isn't good enough."

Working Class Hero
I was listening to my iPod today and it was on shuffle. Then the music video Working Class Hero by Green Day started playing. I had never really listened carefully to this song before because I always thought it wasn’t such a catchy song, but today I actually listened to the lyrics.
Working Class Hero Lyrics:
As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
There's room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero well just follow me
If you want to be a hero well just follow me

I realized how sad and true this song is. This is such a sad video because it reminds us that there are people so rich they can go through life getting anything they want, and then there are people who are living in poverty. There are people living in third world countries with genocide and poverty who see their family being killed right in front of them. This song talks about how everything in this world is controlled by capitalism and we don’t really have many choices in what we want to do because if we want to survive, we need to get a well paid job so that we will be able to live somewhere and have food to eat. We don’t get a choice whether we want to get a job or not, because we'll have to find a way to get money somehow. And the only way to do that, besides robbing people, is to get a job.

Freechoice 1
Dear Diary,
My coach is really starting to piss me off. We are entering a tournament in about a week and we're splitting our team up into two different teams. Yesterday he told us what teams we would probably be on. He told us that the teams are supposedly equal in basketball skill and talent, but obviously one team is better than the other and everyone knows it. This may sound weird, but I don’t like the team I'm on. I'm glad that my coach thinks I'm a good player, but I won't be so good once I play with this team. Even though everyone thinks it's the "good" team, it's not the good team from my perspective. Some of the people on it really annoy me and I don’t play well with them. I think some of them are ball hogs and some of them just suck. My friend and I were on the same team, but we wanted to play with one of our other friends that got put on the other team. After practice we asked him about it. He though about it for a while and let my friend move to the other team, but not me. So now I am stuck all by myself on a team mostly with people I can't even play well with.
Another thing that is getting to me is the fact that he moved a lot of people to positions they don't normally play. He moved one of our shooting guards to a point guard instead of just putting the only point guard we have on the good team. The point guard we have (who is my friend that got put on the second team) is really good, but for some reason our coach always puts her on the second team. He must have something against her, but if he wants to start winning he better start dealing with whatever his problem is. That other girl that was moved to point from wing can't dribble to save her life. Okay, well that's a little over exaggerated, but she's definitely not good enough at dribbling to be a point guard. Besides that, she doesn't even want to be a point guard. Then he moved another player from forward to guard. She hates being a guard, and her best move is a baseline move that she could only do if she was in the forward position.
I know I sound like a baby right now, but everything I said was true. I do play better with certain people, and some people on the team are ball hogs. I'll just have to get use to it though, because I know I won't get a choice. I'll just have to learn to play with people like that and I know I shouldn’t be complaining, but I just want to know why my coach does things that I never understand. Obviously these questions won't be answered since I've tried asking them before. I just need to get used to the fact that life isn't always fair… even though I wish it was.
